Since its inception in 1928, Holy Cross Hospital has provided quality care and compassion for its patients and the needs of the people in the southwest Chicago community. In 2013, Holy Cross joined the Sinai Health System. Sinai’s mission to “Be Stronger, Care Harder, Love Deeper” continues the legacy of Holy Cross in its commitment to serving the critical healthcare needs of some of Chicago’s most underserved neighborhoods through a four-hospital and 15-clinic health care system.

Holy Cross Hospital is firmly embedded in the local community, conducting research, providing programs to address community wellness, poverty, joblessness, behavioral health, violence and neighborhood safety.

It continues to respond to more ambulatory calls than any Emergency Department in the state of Illinois.
